ConstructSafe Testing Services

Based on international best practice frameworks & sets a benchmark for health and safety competency.

Constructsafe is an assessment of the Health and Safety knowledge of someone at that time that they sit their test. It is a program designed, implemented and managed by the Construction Safety Council. This council is made up of representatives from all sectors of the construction sector of New Zealand including

• Registered Master Builders
• Civil Contractors NZ
• Certified Builders Association of New Zealand
• Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand
• Leading construction companies
• Specialist trade associations
• NZ Transport Agency
• Worksafe NZ
• ACC

It is a computer-based test that comprises of 50 questions
selected at random from a database of 300. The test is
the same for both the horizontal and the vertical construction
sectors.

Unlike Site Safe, it does not include a training component and is designed to measure their knowledge at the time that they sit their test. It is closed book and no help or support is allowed for the person sitting the test. All paperwork, mobiles, and laptops are to be left outside the room.

Should the candidate have challenges with reading or writing, however, that supervisor is able to read out and/or explain the questions.

Constructsafe will be mandatory on all NZTA sites as from 1st July 2017 and is currently being adopted by a number of local bodies and authorities.

Assessments can be carried out either at our premises or yours.

We also have a mobile facility available for your convenience should it be necessary.
